Russia says to buy goods from friendly states in case of EU ban
MOSCOW, Apr 24 (PRIME) -- Russia will buy goods from the friendly states if the E.U. forbids exports, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Monday.
"(The E.U. states) say that they will ban exports to our country. Good,” Siluanov said.
“One may think there are no other countries, except those with the restrictions! We will buy the same goods, maybe of a higher quality from the friendly states if we need that."
The E.U. has already exhausted the opportunities for sanctions that would hurt Russia, he said.
According to Siluanov, the world is at an acute stage of change of economic order.
"We see how these (developed) countries are trying to gain a foothold although the countries with developing economies are crowding out the countries with the so-called developed economy,” he said.
The minister also said that Russia and China are already making more than 70% of the transactions in the national currencies after about 30% a year or two ago.
